Ronald van Duren has over 7 years of experience in the software development field. Ronald has worked in various roles and companies, starting their career as a Junior Software Developer at Whyellow in 2014. Ronald then worked as an Intern, conducting research on wearable technology for physical therapy exercises. Ronald also developed an Android app during this internship.

In 2015, Ronald worked part-time as a Software Developer at iLysian B.V. Ronald then joined Dutch Rose Media as a Mobile App Developer, where they were responsible for the complete overhaul of existing Cordova apps and rebuilding them using the Ionic framework.

In 2016, Ronald continued working at Dutch Rose Media as a Graduate (Software Developer), collaborating with another intern on a project involving the combination of a 3D sensor and an Android application for creating accurate 3D models of gardens.

Ronald then joined Philips as a Mobile App Developer (via Fourtress) in 2017, where they worked on the Philips SmartPro app for both iOS and Android platforms. In the same year, they also worked as a Software Engineer at Fourtress.

In 2019, Ronald worked at Signify as a Mobile App Developer (via Fourtress), adding new features and maintaining the Android Hue app.

From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Interpolis as a Mobile App Developer, focusing on the Android app and rewriting the Automodus app from React Native to a native Android app using Kotlin Multiplatform.

Currently, Ronald is employed at Ricardo AG as a Senior Android Developer, where they deliver high-quality features, drives innovation, and fosters a positive team spirit.

Throughout their career, Ronald has gained experience in various programming languages and technologies, including Kotlin, Java, Objective-C, Swift, and Play Framework. Ronald van Duren studied at Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatica, specializing in Software Engineering. In addition, they also completed a field of study in Minor Software Architecture from 2015 to 2016.

Furthermore, in March 2018, Ronald attained the CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) certification through the Scrum Alliance.
