Richard Motter

Systems Integration Technical Specialist/designer III at Ribbon Communications

Richard Motter has a significant amount of experience in the telecommunications industry. Richard worked as a Field Technician at AT&T Network Systems (Western Electric) from 1988 to 1992. At Nortel Networks, they held the position of Senior Operations Specialist from 1992 to 2010, where they were responsible for installation, engineering, and quality control of Nortel switching equipment. Richard also served as an Instructor for basic installation and operational testing of the DMS-100 product, as well as a Quality Auditor on the DMS-100. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Genband as a Senior Operations Specialist and Cutover Manager, providing detailed strategies for migrating subscribers from TDM to VOIP equipment. Currently, they hold the position of Systems Integration Technical Specialist/Designer III at Ribbon Communications, starting in January 2018.

Richard Motter attended Keystone Heights Jr/Sr High from 1980 to 1982, where they obtained a high school diploma. After that, they enlisted in the US ARMY Signal School in Ft Gordon, Georgia, from 1983 to 1984, where they earned a diploma in Dial/Manual Central Office Repairer. Later, from 1988 to 1990, Richard attended Anoka Technical College, specializing in Construction Electrician. Richard also obtained a certification in Construction Electrician from Anoka Technical College, although the exact month and year of completion are not specified.
