Kevin Ward has over 20 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Kevin started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1991. Kevin then joined Nortel in 1993 as a Systems Application Engineer, where they were responsible for capturing customer requirements and translating them into TDM/VoIP solutions. Kevin also supported the account team and provided customer support. In 2004, they transitioned to Genband (formerly Nortel) as a Network Engineer, where they delivered network solutions and supported proposal activities. In 2011, they worked as a Contractor at Verizon, providing switch planning and project management support for various migrations. Since 2013, they have been working at Ribbon Communications as a Network Engineer, delivering network solutions and supporting the sales team.

Kevin Ward's education history includes three different institutions. Kevin first attended Manhattan College from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained their Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (B.E.E.) degree with a focus on electrical engineering. Then, from 1991 to 1993, Ward attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they pursued studies in biomedical engineering but did not obtain a degree. Lastly, Ward attended the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering from 1999 to 2004, earning a Master of Electrical Engineering (MEE) degree with a specialization in telecommunications.
