Susan McLean has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. Susan began their career as a Pre-Audit Clerk and File Room Clerk at UniGroup, Inc. Susan then moved on to become a Government Administrator, Quality Control Specialist, and Relocation Management Specialist. In 2011, they began working at Trader Joe's as a Crew Member and Mate (Manager), handling all aspects of store operations, managing crew members, and opening and closing the store. In 2015, they took a break from the workforce to become a Stay at Home Mom. Susan then returned to the workforce in 2015 as an Order Management Representative at Brown Shoe Company. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as an Operations Coordinator at Rhythm Engineering.

Susan McLean began their educational journey in 1991, when they attended Affton High School until 1995. Susan then attended Meramec Community College from 1995 to 1997 without obtaining a degree. In 2006, they enrolled at Webster University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Management.
