Nathan Pastorek

Research Analyst at Rhodium Group

Nathan Pastorek is a Research Analyst with the Energy & Climate practice at Rhodium Group.

Nathan works primarily on emerging clean technologies research projects, including carbon capture and storage and clean hydrogen.

Before joining Rhodium, Nathan worked for KeyLogic Systems, primarily focused on economic and geologic modeling for carbon capture and storage scenarios using models from the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL).

Nathan has a Bachelor’s degree in Geology with a minor in Energy and Society from Allegheny College and a Master’s degree in Energy and Earth Resources from the University of Texas at Austin. His graduate thesis was focused on geothermal heat flow and temperature-at-depth mapping for Pecos County in Texas, using data from abandoned oil and gas wells. He was also previously an intern with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), focused on research to reduce the cost of drilling in geothermal settings by leveraging techniques and equipment used in oil and gas drilling operations.
