Anthony Gates has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Anthony started in 2013 at Rhino Networks, where they initially worked as a Senior Solutions Architect until 2017. Anthony then moved up to become the Chief Development Officer from 2018 to 2019 and later assumed the role of EVP, General Manager from November 2019 onwards. In 2019, Anthony Gates also co-founded The Gates Co, a consulting and contract services company focused on organizational, professional, and personal growth. Lastly, they were an Operations and Project Manager at The Wired Mouse from September 2012 to June 2021.

Anthony Gates attended Montreat College from 2007 to 2009. Anthony then studied at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College from 2011 to 2012, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Fire Prevention and Safety Technology/Technician. In 2005, they also spent some time at Davis College. Additionally, Anthony has obtained several certifications, including the Cisco Customer Success Manager (CSM) certification from Cisco in April 2021, the ECMS1 certification from Cisco Meraki in 2020, and the CMNA certification from Cisco Meraki in 2019.
