Gabriella Ford

Team Lead Design Development at Rheinmetall

Gabriella (Harrison) Ford has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gabriella started their professional career as an Office Assistant at Done by Me Inc. in 2002 while still in high school. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Bosch Corporation. Following that, they joined SAE International as a University of Michigan Student Chapter Publicity Chair, coordinating all publicity for chapter events. Gabriella also served as the Events Executive, overseeing team activities and organizing SAE sponsored events.

In 2006, Ford became the Business Group Leader at MRacing Formula SAE, where they managed logistics and handled promotions and recruitment for the team. In this role, they developed and executed business presentations and cost reports at Formula SAE competitions.

From 2007 to 2014, Ford worked at Navistar Inc. in various roles. As a Product Development Engineer and Team Lead, they managed cross-functional teams and handled product development, problem-solving, and design release work for the body group. Gabriella also worked as a Supplier Quality Engineer, Electronics Purchasing and Supply Manager, Production Scheduler, Quality Engineer, and Operations Management Development Program Associate during their time at Navistar Inc.

Ford then joined Florida Production Engineering as a Business Unit Program Engineer, responsible for managing programs within the business unit from 2014 to 2015. Gabriella later joined Rheinmetall in 2015, where they held the roles of Application Engineer and Team Lead in Design Development.

In addition to their professional career, Ford has received recognition for their contribution and involvement with organizations such as SAE International, where they won the Outstanding Student Member award in 2007, and MRacing Formula SAE, where they received the Outstanding Student Member award from the SAE Detroit Section in the same year.

Gabriella (Harrison) Ford completed their undergraduate education from 2003 to 2007 at the University of Michigan. During this time, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.).
