Jeffrey Galon

Senior Principal Systems Engineer at RGNext

Jeffrey Galon has a diverse work experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Jeffrey began their career in 1992 as a Systems Engineer at the Space & Missiles Systems Center (SMC), where they led a team and implemented a reform plan that improved productivity. In 1995, they transitioned to the 552nd Air Control Wing, where they served as an E-3 AWACS Weapons Director and gained experience in surveillance, command and control of military aircraft.

In 1999, Galon joined the 349th Air Mobility Wing, holding various leadership positions, including Commander of the 45th Aerial Port Squadron and Operations Officer. During their time there, they managed aerial port operations and coordinated transportation support requirements. In 2008, they left the 349th Air Mobility Wing.

From 1998 to 2018, Galon worked at Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer, Staff. In this role, they collaborated with engineering teams and led flight software operations for multi-billion dollar military space satellite programs. Jeffrey also served as a technical advisor and developed operational guidelines for satellite operations.

In 2018, Galon joined RGNext as a Principal Systems Engineer and later became a Senior Principal Systems Engineer. RGNext is responsible for the operations and maintenance of space launch ranges for the United States Air Force. Galon's role includes overseeing the safe and effective launch and testing of various spacelift vehicles, as well as supporting tests and evaluations for missiles and weapons.

Jeffrey Galon attended Virginia Military Institute from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at Chapman University from 1994 to 1996, earning a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General.
