Oliver Fernihough AMIChemE is a Senior Scientist at RFC Power, specializing in the development of redox flow battery technology with unique chemistry since April 2023. Previously, Oliver served as a CCM Engineer at AFC Energy plc from June 2022 to March 2023, focusing on the manufacturing of catalyst coatings for membranes in hydrogen fuel cells and successfully scaling up production techniques. Oliver's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, where contributions as an Associate Researcher involved the development of micropatterned membranes for fuel cells, enhancing performance significantly. Additionally, Oliver was the Head Coach of the University Weightlifting Club from September 2016 to June 2022.
