Vernita Johnson is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching and specializing in reading comprehension for students below grade level. Currently serving as a Teacher at Reynoldsburg City Schools since August 2014, Vernita has effectively taught Language Arts, Social Studies, and African-American Literature, achieving significant improvements in student reading outcomes. Prior to this role, Vernita worked as a Reading Specialist at Columbus Public Schools and has held various teaching and counseling positions since 1995. With advanced degrees in Education and Sociology from Ashland University and Ohio Wesleyan University respectively, Vernita possesses a deep commitment to enhancing student learning and well-being throughout their career.
