John Downing is an experienced educator and coach with a background in social studies and powerlifting. Currently serving as the Club Powerlifting Coach at The Ohio State University since August 2015, Downing also teaches high school social studies at Reynoldsburg City Schools, a position held since August 2016. Previously, Downing taught at Kenton Ridge High School from August 2013 to July 2016, instructing American history and Constitutional Law courses. Early experiences include an internship as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at The Spot Athletics in 2014 and a student teaching role at Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools in 2012-2013. Downing holds a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Education from The Ohio State University, complemented by a minor in geography.
