Beth Murphy has a comprehensive work experience in the energy and engineering sectors. Beth started their career as a Research Intern at the Institute for Defense Analyses in 2014. Beth then worked as a Materials Engineering Intern at ExxonMobil in 2014, followed by an internship at EDF in 2015. Later that year, they joined ExxonMobil again as a Materials Specialist. In 2016, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In 2018, Beth took on the role of Project Development Manager-Wind at Genser Energy, where they assessed the viability of wind projects in Ghana and led the development of a commercial-scale wind installation. Beth then joined Enel Green Power in 2019 as an Innovation Analyst, focusing on identifying and implementing innovative technologies for renewable energy projects in North America.
In 2021, they moved to Utopus Insights as a Business Development Engagement Project Manager. In this role, they led the strategy for a battery storage software product and developed expertise in energy market operations. Currently, Beth works at Revolv as an Implementation Manager, a role they took on in February 2023.
Beth Murphy attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering. In 2014, they spent a semester abroad at the University of Oxford, focusing on Materials Science. Beth then pursued a Master's Degree in Technology and Policy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2018.
