Thomaz Calasans dos Santos is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in the financial crime and anti-money laundering sectors. Currently serving as Head Data Scientist at Revolut since December 2019, Thomaz has progressed through positions including Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist. Previously, Thomaz worked at Höffner Möbelgesellschaft GmbH & Co. KG as a Data Scientist and at Itaú Unibanco, where responsibilities included data analysis and optimization of the debit recovery portfolio. Earlier career roles included software development at Daitan Group and Innovatech Telecom. Thomaz holds a Master’s degree in Machine Learning from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, along with several specialized courses in machine learning, advanced statistics, banking, and finance.
