Shikder Abir Mahmud Jahan is an accomplished video correspondent at Reuters TV, with a role focused on monitoring, newsgathering, filming, editing, and producing visual stories since June 2023. With extensive experience in journalism, Shikder serves as the Chief Instructor at BUILDINGASSETS J-School since January 2017, training professional journalists. Previous roles include Trainer/Mentor at DW Akademie, freelance journalist for various prestigious organizations such as CNN and Al Jazeera, teaching faculty at Counter Foto, and correspondent for Agence France-Presse covering the Asia-Pacific region. Additional experience includes a communications consultancy for UNICEF and a background in online journalism at The Daily Star. Shikder holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Bedfordshire and a Fellowship in Journalism from the University of Westminster.
