Vanessa Sobotta has extensive work experience in various roles, demonstrating expertise in operations, administration, finance, and management.
Vanessa currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations at ReturnLogic, where they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations from January 2021 to August 2022. Before that, they were the Controller at ReturnLogic from September 2018 to January 2021. Vanessa initially joined the company as the Director of Administration in March 2014 and held the position until September 2018.
Before joining ReturnLogic, Vanessa worked at recoupIT, Inc, starting in January 2004. There, they assumed the role of Vice President of Finance and Administration. During their tenure, they developed administrative and financial functions for the startup, which grew into a $10M enterprise focused on refurbishing and marketing end-of-lease corporate information technology assets. Vanessa played a critical role in evaluating the impact of long-range planning and regulatory actions on sustainability, recycling, and financial responsibility. Additionally, they provided timely and accurate analysis of budgets, project proposals, and business trends to the president and the company board.
In 1996, Vanessa worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Athens Housing Authority. Vanessa'sresponsibilities included assisting the director of a regional housing authority, arranging travel for national conferences, and overhauling a 35-year-old filing system.
Prior to that, they worked as an Affiliate Marketing and National Promotion Assistant at Christian Broadcasting Network from January 1996 to September 1996. In this role, they administered national on-air cross channel promotions and facilitated affiliate offices' marketing needs for FiT TV and The Family Channel.
Vanessa's career began in 1993 at Barnes, Morris, Pardoe & Foster Management Services, where they served as an Executive Assistant. Vanessa assisted in the management, leasing, and financial reporting of a diverse real estate portfolio valued at $250 million. This portfolio included class-A downtown office spaces, retail centers, and suburban office properties. Additionally, they assisted in property transitions, sales, and client relationship management with institutional owners as a third-party fee manager.
Vanessa Sobotta completed their General Diploma at the International School of Brussels from 1983 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a B.A. degree in Communications with a Public Relations emphasis at Susquehanna University from 1990 to 1993.
