Jacqueline L. has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. Jacqueline started their career as a Working Student/Intern at Pendragon Stud Equestrian Center in 2011, followed by a role as a Working Student at Allison Springer Eventing from 2012 to 2013, where they assisted with taking care of horses and riding.
In 2014, Jacqueline served as a CS 1371 Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, before becoming a Biostatistics Head Teaching Assistant at The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University from 2015 to 2016.
From 2015 to 2017, Jacqueline worked at the Matrix Biology and Engineering Lab as a Petit Undergraduate Research Scholar. Jacqueline'sresponsibilities included conducting individual research, developing protocols, using immunofluorescent techniques, and collaborating with a post-doctoral fellow. Jacqueline also presented their research at various conferences.
In 2015, Jacqueline also worked as a Cross Country Ski Instructor at Aspen Valley Ski Club.
Jacqueline then joined the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute as a Whitaker International Fellow from 2017 to 2018.
In 2021, Jacqueline worked as a Co-Op in the Exploratory Bioinformatics Group at Boehringer Ingelheim.
Most recently, they started working as a Scientist I at Retro Biosciences in 2023.
Jacqueline L. started their education at Colorado Rocky Mountain School from 2008 to 2012. Jacqueline then attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. In 2015, they briefly studied at Universidad de Concepción, earning another Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2020. Currently, Jacqueline is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering and Scientific Computing at the University of Michigan, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
In addition to their academic achievements, Jacqueline has obtained several certifications. In December 2016, they obtained Intermediate High Spanish Language Proficiency from ACTFL. In the same year, they also obtained the Wilderness First Responder certification from Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities. Jacqueline has also obtained CPR certification. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Swiftwater Rescue from the American Canoe Association.
