Russell Lutz has over two decades of work experience in various roles related to inventory systems and replenishment. Russell began their career at Incredible Universe as a Replenisher from 1994 to 1996. Russell then joined Staples as a Manager of Replenishment Systems from 1996 to 2003. Following their time at Staples, they worked at Food Services of America as the Manager of Inventory Systems from 2003 to 2005. Since 2005, Russell has been working at RPE Solutions as a Consultant, specializing in providing health checks, business process analysis, installation, upgrade, testing, and training services to retail organizations. Russell is also the lead for the replenishment practice at RPE Solutions.

Russell Lutz obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M University from 1986 to 1990. Russell then pursued a Masters degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, completing it from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications, including JDA Enterprise Planning Administrator from JDA Software in January 2015, JDA Advanced Store Replenishment Gold from JDA Software in January 2010, JDA Advanced Warehouse Replenishment Gold from JDA Software in January 2010, and NetSuite Foundation from NetSuite in December 2017.
