Deborah Rusy MD, MBA, FASA has served as a Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin's Department of Anesthesiology since 1996 and is also an anesthesiologist with the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation. Ruth holds multiple leadership roles, including Board Examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology and Commissioner for the National Commission for the Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants. Involvement with various organizations includes volunteer positions with Operation Smile and ReSurge International, as well as serving as a delegate for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Ruth's previous roles include Director of Global Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Medical Director of Perioperative Services at American Family Childrenās Hospital. Educational qualifications include an MD from the University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health, an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Purdue University.
