Lisa Kohout, CMP has been working in the meetings and events industry since 1996. Lisa began their career at SLA as a Program Assistant, Conferences & Meetings in 1996. Lisa then moved to Sarah Cooper Associates, Inc. in 1997, where they served as an Account Manager. In 1999, they held two positions: Director of Meetings at the National Association of Attorneys General and Senior Conference Manager at VNU Expositions. From 2000 to 2019, they worked at SPARGO, Inc., first as an Associate Director, Registration and then as a Senior Meetings Manager, Meeting Logistics Division. Most recently, they have been a Web Project Leader at Results Direct since 2019.

Lisa Kohout, CMP, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from The American University between 1990 and 1992. Lisa also holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Convention Industry Council.
