Marc-Aurélien Vivant has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design engineering. Marc-Aurélien is currently serving as the Lead Design Engineer at Meta. Prior to this, they worked as the CTO at Resprana Inc. and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design - The New School.
In 2015, Marc-Aurélien Vivant founded Vivant Design, where they worked as a Freelance Design Engineer and Designer, providing product development support for various clients in areas such as mechanical and electronic engineering, product design, manufacturing, and business strategy. Some of their notable clients include Eight Sleep, Tomorrow Labs, Smart Design, Innovation Factory, and Peeq Eyewear.
Between 2019 and 2021, they held key positions at Eight Sleep, including Principal of Product and Engineering, and Lead Mechanical Engineer. Marc-Aurélien was responsible for overseeing product development and engineering initiatives.
Prior to this, they worked at Smart Design as a Senior Design Engineer and Design Engineer II. At Smart Design, they focused on launching powerful products and experiences.
Marc-Aurélien Vivant has also contributed to the academic field as a Guest Lecturer at Parsons School of Design - The New School and has worked as a Lead Design Engineer at La Lumiere LLC. Additionally, they gained experience as a Design Engineer at Smart Design and as a Product Design Engineer at SNOWIDE, where they collaborated with prototyping subcontractors and mass production factories for global product development.
Throughout their career, Marc-Aurélien Vivant has demonstrated expertise in areas such as user-centered design, innovative production methods, prototyping, 3D advanced modeling, and virtual simulations.
Marc-Aurélien Vivant has a diverse education history. Marc-Aurélien began their education in 2008 at Déodat de Séverac in Toulouse, France, where they completed their first engineering cycle classes in PCSI, followed by PSI*. During this time, they focused on physics and engineering. In 2010, Marc-Aurélien enrolled at Grenoble INP - UGA and graduated in 2013 with a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.). Marc-Aurélien gained a global industrial engineering background, specializing in product engineering and design. In 2012, Marc-Aurélien briefly attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they studied mechanical engineering, design, and entrepreneurship.
