John Kelly has a diverse work experience in the technology sector. John started their career as a Cable Technician in the U S Army Signal Corps in 1982 and served until 2002. After that, they worked as an Instrucktor at Sage group from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, they joined Roanoke Va as a TEK, and then moved on to work as a Central Office Installer at Aerotek for a few months. Following that, they worked as a Cable Technician at ABS Technology from 2013 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Mulahn Integration and Technology as a Cable Technician. Currently, they are working as a Cabling & Fiber Optic Engineer at Responsive Technology Partners since 2022.

John Kelly has an education history that includes attending National College from 2009 to 2011. While at National College, they pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in the field of Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Prior to their time at National College, John Kelly spent a significant portion of their career from 1982 to 2002 in the US Army Signal Corps, where they focused on Tactical Communications. John retired from the US Army Signal Corps and then went on to pursue further education at National College.
