Joseph Bright currently serves as Vice President at Resource Innovations, following the acquisition of Nexant in May 2021, where Joseph held the same title from September 2000 to May 2021. Prior to their tenure at Nexant, Joseph held the position of Principal Engineer at Power Computer Applications from August 1987 to September 2000, contributing to the development of software for security-constrained optimal power flow and external modeling. Joseph began their career as a Senior Engineer at ESCA (now GE Alstom) from October 1980 to July 1987, focusing on real-time security and optimization applications for Grid Energy Management Systems. Joseph holds both a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in Electric Power Systems, both obtained from Purdue University, with the MSEE completed in 1978 and the BSEE in 1977.
