Farah Ahmed

Cross Cutting Lead For Usaid's South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (sarep) Program at Research Triangle Institute

Farah Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning multiple sectors. Farah is currently working as the Cross Cutting Lead for South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP)/USAID project at RTI International since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Partnership Manager at IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative from February 2021 to August 2022.

Farah also has experience as the Director of Resource Mobilisation at the Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP), where they played a key role in revitalizing rural India through sustainable farm and rural community livelihood development. Farah worked at ISAP from December 2020 to February 2021.

Before joining ISAP, Farah worked as an Independent Consultant from March 2020 to December 2020. Farah provided consulting services on livelihoods, micro-finance, and environment to various organizations.

Farah's earlier experience includes roles at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) as Manager of Communications and Knowledge Management from July 2018 to February 2020, and as Coordinator for Research into Impact (Asia) from November 2013 to July 2018. Farah also has experience as an Assistant Manager/Senior Consultant at KPMG Advisory, an intern at CARE International UK, and as a Manager of Livelihoods at ACCESS Development Services. Farah has also worked at Sa-Dhan (Association of community finance institutions) and the Society for Development Studies - India.

Overall, Farah Ahmed has accumulated extensive experience in various sectors, including energy partnership, sustainable trade, agriculture, water management, livelihoods, and consulting. Their work focuses on policy advocacy, project planning, development strategies, and stakeholder management.

Farah Ahmed completed their Master's degree in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia from 1997 to 2000. Following that, they pursued an MA in Science Society and Development with a focus on International development at the Institute of Development Studies from 2008 to 2009. Farah also attended Army School Narangi, but no specific degree or field of study information is available for that period.
