Roger Halliday is the Chief Executive Officer of Research Data Scotland, a position held since April 2020, where efforts are focused on enhancing wellbeing and public health through secure data access and linkage. Previously, Roger served as the Chief Statistician for the Scottish Government from November 2011 to April 2022, overseeing the implementation of professional statistical standards across Scotland. Prior to that, Roger worked as an Analyst at the UK Department of Health from March 2005 to November 2011, concentrating on evidence-based decision making in relation to long-term conditions and primary care services. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of St Andrews, achieved from 1989 to 1993.
