Noah Beck, a vice president on the Strategy Research|Equities team conducts research on alpha-signal robustness and strategy design for Research Affiliates’ active equity strategies. He also manages the firm’s Smart Beta Interactive website, providing expected return and transaction cost estimates of simulated smart beta strategies. Noah contributes to Research Affiliates’ publications on research in factor investing. He and his co-authors won the 2016 Financial Analysts Journal Graham and Dodd Scroll Award for “Will Your Factor Deliver? An Examination of Factor Robustness and Implementation Costs.”
Prior to joining Research Affiliates, Noah was a systems engineer at Boeing responsible for the final test and evaluation of ICBM guidance systems.
Noah received a BS in physics from Harvey Mudd College and a Master of Financial Engineering from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.​​​​
