Andrew Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of archaeology and academia. Andrew started their career at Ball State University as a Staff Archaeologist for the Archaeological Resources Management Service from June 2006 to May 2009. Andrew then joined IPFW as a Field and Lab Supervisor for the Archaeological Survey from June 2009 to February 2012, and later became the Interim Director of the Archaeological Survey from February 2012 to February 2014. Andrew briefly worked as an Archaeologist for the State of Louisiana from February 2014 to July 2014, before transitioning to RESCOM Environmental Corp where they held the position of Chief Operating Officer from July 2014 to present. In 2019, they also started working as a Professor of Practice in Anthropology at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Andrew Smith completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Purdue University Fort Wayne between 1998 and 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from Ball State University from 2006 to 2010.
