Christian Geffcken is an experienced professional in information security and data protection, currently serving as the Head of Information Security and Data Protection at the Office cantonal des systèmes d'information et du numérique (OCSIN) since May 2015. Previously, Christian held the position of Head of Information Security Service for the State of Geneva, where responsibilities included developing and implementing information security strategies. Christian's extensive background includes roles at Merck KGaA as Associate Director and Senior Manager in IT Security, achieving significant advancements in IT security frameworks and management systems. Earlier career experiences include positions at Merck Serono International SA and Laboratoires Serono SA, focusing on IT corporate security and operations, as well as a role as a Young Graduate Scientist at the European Space Agency. Christian holds a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from EPFL.
