Daniel Sorby has over five years of professional experience in the biomedical and engineering fields. In 2021, they began working as a Research and Development Scientist for Reprise Biomedical. From 2019-2021, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer for Hemostasis, LLC. From 2016-2019, they worked as the Laboratory Manager and Research Coordinator for the University of Minnesota Bioprinting Facility, where they authored and taught the laboratory portion of a Biomedical Engineering course, directed research for undergraduates, and managed laboratory staff. From 2015-2016, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In 2015, they worked as a Quality Engineer for WR Medical Electronics Company, where they performed comprehensive internal audits and documented multiple studies. From 2006-2015, they served as an Active Duty Cadet in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they excelled at rigorous academic studies and honed their professional etiquette.
Daniel Sorby received their Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut between 2010 and 2012. Daniel then attended the US Coast Guard Academy from 2006 to 2009, where they studied Civil Engineering. Finally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota between 2014 and 2016.
