Karundi A. Williams currently serves as the Executive Director of re:power, a national progressive training and capacity building organization, since June 2019, based in Washington, D.C. Previously, Karundi Williams held the position of Director of State & Local Programs in Government Relations at SEIU from August 2011 to April 2019, where responsibilities included directing national policy priorities and managing intergovernmental programs. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Government Affairs and Deputy Legislative Director for the State of Ohio under Governor Ted Strickland, and as Political Director for Strickland's re-election campaign. Additional roles include Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs at the Ohio Department of Transportation and Senior Policy Advisor at the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Karundi A. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & International Relations from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal/Law Clerk from Humber College.
