Makarand P. began their work experience in 1994 as an engineer at Spectrum Automation & Controls Pvt. Ltd. Makarand then worked as an Instrumentation Engineer at Thermax Ltd from 1996 to 1999. Makarand then joined Honeywell as an engineer from 1999 to 2005. Makarand continued their career at Tata Consultancy Services as a Consultant from 2005 to 2015. Makarand then moved on to Renu Electronics Pvt. Ltd., where they held the role of Head - Custom Products and Solutions from 2015 to the present. Makarand is currently working at Infosys as a Consultant in the IOT core since 2019. Throughout their career, Makarand has gained expertise in various areas, including industrial automation, process control, system integration, IOT-related products and services, and custom design of embedded hardware.

Makarand P. has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Instrumentation from M.G.M's Jawaharlal Nehru College of Engineering. Makarand also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Technology from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. Additionally, they have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt Polytechnic Aurangabad. Makarand P. completed their high school education at Saraswati Bhuwan Highschool. Makarand has also obtained certifications as a Claroty Sales Associate from Claroty and ISA 62443 from the International Society of Automation (ISA).
