Laurens van den Acker is an accomplished automotive design leader with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Chief Design Officer and EVP Corporate Design at Renault Group since 2009, Laurens has previously held significant positions including General Manager of Design Division at Mazda Motor Corporation and various roles at Ford Motor Company, culminating in Chief Designer for the Ford Escape Platform. Early career roles included designer positions at SHR Perceptual Management, AUDI AG, and Design System. Laurens possesses a Master of Science in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology, obtained between 1984 and 1990.
