Mariela Mendez Whyte has extensive experience in the banking and insurance industries, currently serving as a Commercial Underwriter and previously as Branch Manager at Renasant Bank since September 2013. Prior experiences include roles as Assistant Branch Manager at First Commercial Bank and Multiple Line Representative at State Farm Insurance, where Mariela specialized in the Hispanic market. Mariela also held the position of Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President at CapitalSouth Bank, where significant contributions were made to launch Alabama's first bilingual English/Spanish branch. Earlier career highlights include working as a Commercial Real Estate Assistant at National Bank of Commerce. Mariela holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autonoma de Centroamerica, obtained from 1995 to 1999.
