David Cox, MBA has a diverse work experience in the banking and financial industry. David started their career at Callaway Partners as a Consultant in 2005 and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they joined Renasant Bank via a Loss Share purchase of Crescent Bank & Trust, where they served as an Appraisal Review Officer and Credit Analyst. David then returned to Renasant Bank in 2010 and held the positions of VP Loss Share Work Out Specialist and Sr Credit Analyst until 2014. In 2014, they joined Hamilton State Bank as a Credit Analyst II and later became a Credit Officer. After working at Hamilton State Bank, they moved to Ameris Bank in 2018 and worked as a Loan Review Officer until 2019. Most recently, David joined Renasant Bank in 2019 as a Sr Credit Underwriter and later became a Sr Credit Commercial Underwriter - Team Lead in December 2021.

David Cox, MBA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance from Old Dominion University, which they obtained between 1988 and 1992. David later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Studies at Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business, completing their studies from 1996 to 1999. In July 2019, David Cox also obtained a Credit Risk Certification from RMA.
