Elizabeth Wood began their work experience in 2003 as a Sales Representative for Wiley in the Higher Education department. Elizabeth worked in this role until 2007. In 2010, they joined MidChix as a Content and Strategy member, but only stayed for a year. From 2013 to 2016, they worked for the Women's Health Foundation as a Content Development and Editor. In 2016, they took on the role of Executive Director at Below Your Belt 501c3, where they are currently employed. In January 2020, Elizabeth became the Chief Operations Officer at Renalis, and later transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President.

Elizabeth Wood earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pepperdine University from 1985 to 1986. Prior to that, they pursued English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Washington from 1981 to 1984. Most recently, they completed a Master's of Science degree in Health Communication at Northwestern University from 2018 to 2019.
