Gary A. van Staveren, Ph.D., currently serves as an MTSS Solutions Advisor at Renaissance Learning since September 2024. Prior to this role, Gary held multiple positions at Oxford Community Schools, including Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology and Assessment, Grants, and School Improvement Supervisor from December 2019 to October 2024. Experience also includes serving as an Elementary Principal at Rochester Community Schools and Royal Oak Schools from 2011 to 2019, as well as Assistant Principal at Avondale Public Schools and West Ottawa Public Schools from 2006 to 2011. Gary's career began as a Teacher at Allegan Public Schools and Huron Valley Schools from 1998 to 2006. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and an EdS in School Administration from Oakland University, an MA in Educational Technology, and a BS in Education from Western Michigan University, along with a BS in Business Administration from Aquinas College - Grand Rapids.
