Nguyen Kien

Physicist - Thin Film Deposition at Renaissance Fusion

Nguyen Kien is a physicist specializing in thin film deposition, currently contributing to the development of a Metalorganic Chemical Vapor Deposition system for High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) tape at Renaissance Fusion since January 2023. Prior to this role, Nguyen served as a Research Engineer at CEA Tech, focusing on optimizing X-ray Diffraction for piezo/ferroelectric thin films, and developed automated testing programs using Python. Nguyen's experience also includes a master internship at Saint-Gobain Research Paris, where the focus was on modifying thin films with laser treatment, and other internships investigating magnetization reversal in ferromagnetic materials and researching electrode materials for energy storage devices. Nguyen holds a PhD in Physics from Université Grenoble Alpes, a Master's degree in Advanced Materials Engineering from École Polytechnique, and a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Nanotechnology from the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi.
