Jorge N. R. Vilhena is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in research, development, design, and manufacturing within the energy and manufacturing sectors. Currently, Jorge works at Renaissance Fusion, focusing on the innovative design of nuclear fusion technology. Jorge's previous roles include Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Plasdan, where oversight of product development took place, and a Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Manager at Sistecaut, managing teams in custom industrial tool and machine production. Furthermore, Jorge has a solid academic background, having lectured on various mechanical engineering subjects at institutions like Universidade de Aveiro and Instituto Superior De Engenharia De Lisboa. Jorge holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Licenciatura in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra.
