Kristen Ahangari is an experienced educator and administrator with a strong background in special education and history. Currently serving as the Special Education Department Chair at Innovation Charter High School since July 2017 and as an Adjunct Professor at Lehman College since January 2017, Kristen also holds the position of Director for New Teacher Supports while teaching US History. Since August 2013, Kristen has contributed as a History Teacher at Innovation High School. Additionally, Kristen has been actively involved with the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Dept as an EMT and Ex-Captain of the Rescue Squad since January 2003, and previously served as the Director at Huntington Learning Center from June 2012 to August 2013. Kristen holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Dowling College, focusing on education with a concentration in history and students with disabilities, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History from Stony Brook University.
