Hafis Bello, MBA, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Agency Banking & Financial Inclusion at Remita since April 2022. Prior to this role, Hafis co-founded Leeds Limited in March 2013 and held the position of Head of Business Strategy. Hafis also worked at LOTUS Bank as the Head of Cards and Channels and Team lead for Digital Strategy from July 2021 to April 2022. Previous experiences include research in non-interest finance at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, business development at SystemSpecs, project management at FOC Limited, and ICT training for youth at the Zamfara State Skills Acquisition Programme. Hafis holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia, a Master’s in Urban Economics and Research from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Lagos, among other academic qualifications.
