Chantal Grut is a legal professional with extensive experience in ethics, compliance, and international law. Currently serving as the Acting Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and Global Investigations Director at Relief International since January 2023, Grut previously held positions as an International Lawyer at RLS Legal from November 2012 to December 2022. Additionally, Grut worked with the World Food Programme as a Privacy Impact Assessment Advisor and Beneficiary Privacy Impact Assessment Consultant in 2021. Earlier experience includes roles with Open Society Afghanistan, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, and the Ministry of Justice of New Zealand as a Judges Clerk. Grut holds an LLM from Columbia Law School and completed undergraduate degrees in Law, International Relations, and Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington.
