Wilfried Schmidt has a strong background in software development with experience spanning multiple companies and roles. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a Software Developer at eCharge, where they designed and developed client-side payment processing software. From 2002 to 2004, they were a Software Developer at Micropower, leading a small team to build and deliver poker client software. From 2004 to 2009, they worked at Riptown Media / Fiver Media as a Lead Software Developer / Technical Team Lead, responsible for hiring and leading a group of developers building poker client software. Finally, from 2009 to the present, Schmidt has been with Relic Entertainment / Sega, where they initially served as a Senior Programmer, working on various systems for titles such as Company of Heroes Online and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. In 2013, they transitioned to the role of Technical Director / Principal Programmer, taking on more responsibilities in leading and mentoring teams.
Wilfried Schmidt pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. Wilfried started their academic journey in 1995 at Douglas College, where they focused on Computer Science until 1997. Following this, they furthered their studies at Simon Fraser University from 1997 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
