Matthew Kavanaugh, CISSP, has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Matthew began their career as an Information Specialist Intern at Tampa Bay Partnership in 2011. From there, they moved on to work at Florida State University, Association for Information Systems, where they served as Treasurer and was responsible for managing the organization's budget and organizing meetings and events.

In 2014, Matthew joined Protiviti as part of their Information Technology Consulting team. Matthew then transitioned to ReliaQuest in 2015, where they held various roles, including IT Security Analyst and IT Security Engineer. During their time at ReliaQuest, they were involved in delivering IT security services and solutions to ensure organizations remained secure and compliant.

Matthew's career at ReliaQuest progressed, and they eventually became a Solutions Architect, responsible for fortifying the world's most trusted brands against cyber threats. Matthew later transitioned to managerial roles, serving as the Manager of Sales Engineering and then as the Director of Sales Engineering. In September 2023, they took on their current role as the Director of Principal & Channel Sales Engineering.

Throughout their work experience, Matthew has showcased their expertise in cybersecurity and has continuously worked towards providing optimal security solutions.

Matthew Kavanaugh, CISSP, earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from Florida State University in the period from 2009 to 2014. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2019. Additionally, Matthew obtained the Splunk Core Certified User certification from Splunk in December 2018, the LogRhythm Certified Deployment Engineer certification from LogRhythm in 2017, and the CompTIA Network+ certification from CompTIA in 2015.
