Kai Bredenberg

Principal Solution Architect at RELEX Solutions

Kai Bredenberg has a diverse background in supply chain management and project management. Kai started their career at ABB, where they worked as a Frequency Converter Assembler and later as a Product Development Trainee, gaining experience in product development and production quality. Kai then joined the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering of RWTH Aachen University as a Lean and Quality Management Trainee, where they focused on lean and quality management practices.

Bredenberg returned to ABB as an Assisting Product Manager, where they were responsible for implementing and testing a competitor comparison portal. Kai also gained insights into software development and the collaboration between sales and product/marketing management.

In 2012, Bredenberg began their Master's thesis at ABB, which focused on system dynamic modeling for evaluating inbound supply chain options in the frequency converter industry. This project provided him with knowledge on strategic decision making in supply chain management and global supply chain challenges.

In 2014, Bredenberg joined RELEX Solutions as a Presales Project Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing a proof of concept project and ensuring that RELEX software performed well compared to other supply chain solutions. Kai then held various roles at RELEX, including Project Manager, Lead Solution Consultant, and Solution Delivery Manager. These roles involved project management, solution configuration, coaching, mentoring, training, and coordination for Trier-1 customer projects.

Most recently, Bredenberg holds the position of Principal Solution Architect at RELEX Solutions, where they spearhead solution architecture for the company.

Kai Bredenberg holds a Master's Degree in Automation and Control Engineering with a minor in Industrial Management from Aalto University, completed from 2007 to 2014. Additionally, they completed a Master's Degree in International Management from CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education in 2014, both at Aalto University and the National University of Singapore. In 2013, they participated in the CEMS Master's in International Management program at Aalto University. As part of an exchange program, they studied Energie- und Automatisierungstechnik at RWTH Aachen University from 2010 to 2011. In 2016, they obtained the C1 certification from the Goethe-Institut e.V.
