Lee Rand is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as a Partner at Cottonwood Technology Fund, a deep tech venture capital firm focused on areas such as photonics, nanotechnology, and advanced manufacturing, since April 2024. Rand has been a Partner at Sun Mountain Capital since December 2008, specializing in diversified private equity strategies. Additionally, Rand holds multiple board positions, including Board Member roles at Skorpios Technologies, City Different Investments, Pulpomatic, Relevant Traffic, and ID90 Travel, as well as serving as an Investor and Advisor at zconnect.io since January 2021. Previously, Rand was the CEO of Knogee, a company that developed innovative online software for sales consultations. Rand earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from Cornell University.
