Sonali Deshpande has over four years of experience in robotics engineering. In 2018, they worked as a Robotics Engineer for Relay Robotics. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Robotics Software Engineer for Mayfield Robotics, where they worked on the custom depth sensor for the home robot Kuri, developed software for automated instrinsics calibration, focusing, and lens center detection, and detected obstacles that lie in the depth sensor's blind spot. In 2016, they worked as a Perception Systems Engineer for General Motors, and in 2015, they worked as a Robotics Engineer for Discovery Robotics.
Sonali Deshpande completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Vellore Institute of Technology in 2014. Sonali then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2015.
