Jeffrey G. has over 13 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Jeffrey started their career as an Electrical/Production Engineer at Electronic Power Design, Ltd., where they supported large-scale production of sea vessels' Engineer Operating Stations and supervised high voltage transformer production.
In 2009, they joined Orbital ATK as a Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Engineer. Here, they supported pre-launch spacecraft operations, developed and tested ground operations command and control scripts, and implemented a mission-critical flight software subsystem.
In 2017, Jeffrey G. joined General Motors as a Senior Controller Integration Engineer and later became a Software Integration Manager. Their responsibilities included supporting battery controller system integration for electric vehicles, developing and executing hardware-in-the-loop test procedures, and leading internal team projects for test method and procedure improvements.
Since 2015, Jeffrey G. has been working at Relative Dynamics Inc. in various roles. Jeffrey started as a Navigation Engineer for the Mission Operations Support Team on the NASA/NOAA weather satellite mission GOES-R. Jeffrey then served as a Senior GNC Engineer, where they developed pointing, acquisition, and tracking controls systems for optical laser communication telescope transceiver, designed reference trajectories for space missions, and produced hardware test data post-processing scripts for NASA's Laser Communication Relay Demonstration mission.
Currently, they hold the position of Program Manager of Commercial Space Programs & GNC Manager at Relative Dynamics Inc., where they oversee commercial space programs and manages the guidance, navigation, and control team.
Jeffrey G. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2005. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the same institution. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park. In 2015, Jeffrey G. engaged in distance learning at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on a non-degree program. Additionally, in October 2022, they obtained a FreeFlyer Level 1 Certification from a.i. solutions.
