Mike Aquilina has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mike started their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as Chief Master Sergeant for over 22 years. In this role, their primary specialty was Aircraft Armament, and their secondary specialty was Aircraft Maintenance.
After leaving the military, Mike joined CSX, where they held various managerial positions. Mike began as an Assistant General Manager/Preventive Maintenance Program for Work Equipment, responsible for controlling preventive maintenance activities for mobile production teams. Mike then became a Plant Manager, directing capital and operations at a rebuild facility.
Mike's career at CSX continued as they transitioned to the role of Manager of Teams/Production, where they managed and controlled maintenance and production activities for system teams. Mike later became a Regional Work Equipment Manager, overseeing work equipment activities for the Great Lakes and Chicago Divisions.
Mike'slast role at CSX was Director of Work Equipment, where they were responsible for a large fleet of work equipment and vehicles, as well as overseeing personnel and developing and purchasing equipment for engineering work.
Most recently, Mike joined RELAM, Inc. in 2021 as the Chief Mechanical Officer.
Mike Aquilina earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the University of Mount Olive in 1996. Mike then pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Aircraft Armament Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, which they completed in 1988. Later, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Webster University in 2015, along with a Master's degree in Management/Leadership, also from Webster University, which they completed in 2015.
