Fernando Morell has been employed in the research and development field since 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Independent Consultant. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, working in the Plant Nutrition and Biofertilizer Department. During this time, they published articles based on investigations and evaluated the role of mycorrhizal fungi in improving soil properties. In 2014, they became the Head Research and Development Manager at Reforestation Technologies International.

Fernando Morell attended the Agrarian University of Havana from 1996 to 2001, where they earned a degree in Agronomy Engineering. Fernando then went on to the National Institute of Agricultural Science, where they earned a MSc. and PhD in Soil and Biofertilizers in the field of Agriculture from 2001 to 2010.
