Alexander Villareal serves as the Chair of the Department of Sleep Medicine at Gundersen Health System since May 2016 and has held multiple roles as a Sleep Physician and Medical Director across various healthcare organizations, including Vernon Memorial Healthcare, Tomah Health, Sauk Prairie Healthcare, Reedsburg Area Medical Center, Southwest Health - Platteville, and Black River Memorial Hospital. Additionally, Villareal briefly served as a Sleep Physician - Medical Director at Bellin Health and worked at ADVENT, focusing on remote interpretation of ambulatory sleep apnea tests. An established leader in sleep medicine, Villareal previously held the position of Medical Director at the Sleep Wellness Institute from September 2012 to May 2016. Alexander Villareal obtained medical education from Universidad Nuestra Señora de La Paz between 1993 and 1999.
