Kirsty Houslay is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology, holding a Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Redx Pharma since June 2022, Kirsty previously held positions as Associate Principal Scientist, Scientist I at AstraZeneca from January 2019 to May 2022, and Scientist I at MedImmune from May 2014 to January 2019, focusing on respiratory, inflammation, and autoimmunity. Earlier in their career, Kirsty worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Dundee, conducting research on macrophage signaling under the supervision of Dr. Simon Arthur and engaged in a Merck-sponsored secondment with Prof Sir Philip Cohen. Kirsty's academic journey began at the University of Glasgow, where Kirsty completed their Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and later their Ph.D. with research on cAMP-specific phosphodiesterase PDE4A5 under the guidance of Professor Miles Houslay.
